Things to do arrange Inverness

An area of such outstanding natural beauty is the perfect backdrop for the outdoor activity extravaganza which beckons here. Whether on horseback, on wheels, on foot or on water it's not just about fantastic choice it's about quality. World class wintersports. Some of the world's top 100 golf courses. Some superb and lesser known. We particularly recommend Strathpeffer, Brora, Boat of Garten and Muir of Ord, plus the renowned Royal Dornoch links course. Sensational walking and trekking with the famous Lairig Ghru in the Cairngorms acting almost as a magnet - an unrivalled trek through a stunning mountain cleft. And The Great Glen Way which runs 73 miles from Fort William to Inverness.

Rothiemurchus Estate at Aviemore and its incredible range of safe and quality controlled outdoor activities from fly fishing tuition to safaris and great 4 x 4 driving. Even mini-highland games. Exhilarating adventure opportunities.

Great watersports at nearby Loch Morlich and Loch Insh. Wonderful horseback trails, kayaking treks down the River Spey with a picnic on the way. Rock-climbing, ice-climbing, mountain-biking, ranger-led trail hiking. Climb over 60 neighbouring Munros including The Cairngroms, the Fannichs, Ben Wyvis, Ben Dearg group and An Teallach. The mountains of Torridon and Glen Affric are also within easy reach.

Salmon and sea trout fishing on the Spey or in stocked lochs on the nearby estates. Husky dog-sledding with or without snow. Clay-pigeon shooting, gliding. Local swimming and go-karting. Family fun and so much more. No better enjoyed too than in the neighbouring Cairngorms National Park region, well worth a visit.

And we'll help you arrange it all.
